100% exam formula
Thursday, October 29, 2009 @ 11:24 PM

Exam: To achieve good grades, consider this 100% formula

10% luck: Pray

10% skill: Hone your skill through practice

10% memory: Memorize some questions. Some question come out sure you see before

10% school: Admit it. Being in top school like HCI, Raffles, National grants you 10%. Their probablity of not making to university is 0.0001(negligible). Still need hypothesis testing?

10% strategy: Always have a drill when you see certain kind of question (e.g. trial and error for probability =//)

10% concentration: Focus!

10% talent: Can't help you on this. If you're born with it, the 10% is yours. Free!

10% fear: The very fear that breaks you, drives you

10% pride: You can't take bad results lying down can you?

10% fate: If fate want you to careless, there's nothing much you can do

Five For Fighting
Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 11:47 PM

I think I should be more optimistic, and try to look on the brighter side of things. Where have those optimism went. To have aspiration given to you only to be taken away. To have hope granted to you only to be shattered. I don't see all this as sufferance neither do I believe all this are persistent.

Deep down, I know everything must happen for a reason.

I don't believe in all these! I don't believe in all these! Commanded Aragorn! Yes. I don't too.

Every outcome is valuable

I'll hang on to this.

I won't let you down.

I won't let you down(again)

I don't care how tired I am

I don't bother about what excuse I make

At the end of the everything

I don't want to let you down again

Rain
@ 9:05 AM

It is raining. Everybody is running, all except for one. A runner came up to him and asked: "Why didn't you run?" And the runner reply that "Why bother running when it's raining ahead."

I'm not going to run away. I'm going to face the rain and wait to see what it is trying to convey to me.

My Quote: Uncertainty is both an aspect of Physics and a function in life.

Uncertainty
Thursday, October 8, 2009 @ 10:24 PM

Tell you something, dear friend

Those who did well in Prelim may not do well during A

Those who did not do well in Prelim might not not do well during A

Whatever it is

Those who did well for Prelim have no real advantage

Those who did not do well for Prelim do not lose out either

The outcome is uncertain, uncertain is the outcome

Hold tight to what you believe most

That's where your advantage lies

Rediscovery
Friday, October 2, 2009 @ 11:19 PM

The person who studies most may not do well
The person who knows most may not do well
Everything is uncertain until the end
For our preparation only increases our probability of doing well, not making certain of it.
Don't place ultimate emphasis on results
For it is not a means to an end.
And at the end of everyday something new will be learn
As education becomes a route for us to discover and rediscover ourselves
